Her childhood was a turbulent one. Her mother left her at the age of two years old to avoid an abusive relationship. Then she returned to Pickler's world in 1995 when she was given custody of her. It didn't go according to planned. Pickler's grandparents raised her from 12 up to the age of she reached adulthood. Pickler needed to look after of her children without parents. She confessed that, in absence of parents, Pickler had no time to attend school. In the meantime, she began learning how to care for her family at an earlier age. Pickler was an athlete in middle and high school. North Stanly High School was which she graduated from in the year 2004. Pickler also tried her hand in the world of beauty.
